Question about paid accounts

Hi guys!

Just a little question. If I pay to get the “wordpress” chopped off my domain name, what happens to all the posts I’ve linked on other sites to come here? Will I have to go change them all, or will vampireplacebo.wordpress.com still lead to vampireplacebo.com? I’ve been interested in getting a paid account for a while, but I don’t wanna lose all my links. I get a lot of traffic from them, especially from IMDB.

M.
